(Video) The Evolution of Video Games

This clip takes a "short trip through the evolution of video games -- from pixel to polygons, atari to HD, this is a visual ride through various video game genres as they evolved with new technology and talent from game developers." Video after the jump.
The clip was produced for a presentation made by game developer David Perry at the prestigious TED Conference in Marin County

It seemed nearly every "HD" game seemed to be a PS3 title. The only one that I could see that wasn't (I only started to pay attention a third of the way in) was the latest Call of Duty.

It was an interesting video, though I didn't like the fact that the "old games" featured ingame clips vs. "new games" and the prerendered "HD quality" videos. If you are going to show an ps3 clip, show ingame, or the "HD" reference doesn't really mold well with the other "old games." Mmmmm, 8 bit
