That's right, a modder managed to load backups on the Nintendo Wii, without using a modchip, but rather LPT. Video after the jump.
A modified Nintendo Wii boots a backup of Red Steel. There is no modchip in the Wii, there is a parallel port cable soldered to the drive board. The cable costs under 3 dollars to make

The CD is put in correctly.. and it seems really to work..

Well, I have to say that this is definitely real. The ejecting of the disc at the end proved it. Unless of course there is another Wii off to the side that the camera isn't showing. Seems to be legit though. I just wonder, why a parallel cable?

Tom, nope he didn't. He did however put the DVD-R in right side up. Perhaps you haven't seen a Wii in action. They load their games backwards... at least it is backwards in my opinion.
