Free Mac Mini
Anyone want an mac mini. Ive got a site thats giving them away for free. All you have to do is complete an offer and refer a few people. Plus the shipping is free too and it gets to your home quickly. This is no spam or scam... or anything else that starts with an s. that was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time! its even better because its TRUE!
looks more like their interested in selling windows products with that than they are with selling the product itself, though.

I actually love microsofts way of telling whats in the box.
I like any company that does that.
Today i was looking at the box for one of my Archos Mp3 Players and i noticed all of the helpfull needed information clearly on the box.
Then i took a look at my friends ipod video box.
It says very few details and specs on the unit... its boring.
I also took a look at my friends ipod shuffle box.
on the back it says
"can it read your mind? can it tell what mood your in? plug it in and find out"
..
That shows how much effort apple puts into the ipod.

Jesse, let me guess, you bought a Dell, you bought Windows XP Home Edition, you are also delighted to install the latest version of AOL every time they send you another disc, your favorite video player is Realplayer, you still use MSN instead of Google, and you drive a Toyota Camry.
Microsoft specifically targets unimaginative folks like yourself who'd rather read a wall of system requirements than look at something with actual visual flair, so I suppose they've done their job well.

the reason why iPod doesnt have to put anything on their box is because it works. you can assume it works. you dont have to read a bunch of restrictions like on a MS product

Bearot, don't call someone unimaginative just because he'd rather have HELPFUL information on the box and doesn't agree with your views on design.
Look at how many new iPod advertisements there are. Look at how many are basically the same damn thing, just with a different dance and a different song. I call that unimaginative.
True, stick to something that works. Then again Apple is a company that claims to be a "out of the box" thinker. Go figure.
Microsoft any day. Steve Jobs should get another job.

Bearot; I agree, however; it is only design for design's sake... you may disagree, but MS (no matter how much I hate them, the marketing etc) does put things plainly and simply; it's perfect for their target audience ...
And that's coming from a Designer
