Wii Hacked to Play Burned Games

That's right, a "programmer" has managed to hack the Nintendo Wii to play burned games. What are your thoughts? Video after the jump. This is what John Biggs of Crunchgear has to say:
Here we see a young man hacking, nay, stealing from the makers of the Nintendo Wii. We cannot condone this behavior, but if anyone knows what they did to pull it off, please let us know

nintedo never had any good security programs for backup copies their trick was to make strange format storage devices like catrige or small dvd for gamecube. im quite sure revolution will be very easy to hack coz its the first nintendo console ever that use a simple dvd.

This rumor has already been solved. It is fake, you can notice by when he is ejecting the game because the cd image is suppose to stay until the cd is actually out. Also the video has been removed from youtube.

I Believe it. I started playing burned 360 games that were downloaded off the internet back in July. hell I run linux on my old xbox and surf the net with it. I say if you can get it for free way pay for it.

You have already paid for the console. This means that video game manufacturers have already obtained some profit. In addition, many people will buy original games; this equals more profit for video game companies. So, if you want to burn a game, burn a game. This should make video game manufacturers work harder to bring down prices so that people can actually afford to buy their video games, as appose to burning them.
