Wii US Launch Date and Price Confirmed

Nintendo has confirmed a November 19th release date and $250 retail price for its North American Wii launch. There will be over 25 titles available, priced at $50 each. If all goes according to plan, Nintendo will ship 4-million units worldwide. More pictures after the jump.

I'm diasappointed by the price, I think they really should have gone the extra mile and either slashed their hardware profit, or even take a small loss. This price I find dangerous.

Launch date: 15th December Price: £209 with Wii Sports (looks like the same package as the US one), controllers £40 (had a picture of the nunchuck and wii-mote didnt say prices seperatley), games would cost £40 (didnt say 1st party or 3rd party) and classic games will be between £2-£8 games for launch : Zelda, Red Steel, wario ware, trauma centre, Dragonball Z, excite truck, Pokemon(?), Far Cry and many more

i was expecting a 170 or 200 price but this is still cheep and about the controlers the wii-mote is 40 and the nunchuk or classic controller is 20 as for thee zapper no word yet

I really think this is going to be big, showed my parents the trailer and even they were impressed. You don't need to be a hardcore gamer to own one of these; nintendo are using the same approach as they did with DS (I mean look how many million of that brain training game they've sold!)
