Wiimote Strap Breaks

Sony's PS3 isn't the only next-gen console having problems, Nintendo Wii owners have been complaining about the fragile Wiimote strap. Video after the jump. Here's what Brian Crecente of Kotaku has to say:
Granted, this sweaty-palmed guy shouldn't be swinging the remote quite so hard, but hell it's just a sign of how immersive the games for the Wii are. One more time, for the record: Nintendo, fix your remote straps

not a big deal actually, you can replace the strap with something else. There would be a problem tho, if the hole for the strap in Wiimote would break...since it's not...oh well.

Sure, the games are very responsive, however, slinging the remote extremely hard doesn't equate to harder hits in the game itself. I have one and have tried doing the fast serve in tennis, yet its more on how your straight your wrist is than how hard you throw the remote.

do a google search some people have broken their tv's BTW PS3'slaunch has been the best for the PS franchise, and probably also the Wii. PS3 has had very few problems, very few. The Wii has had very few problems also, however the error problem or bricking Wiis (using an update) seem to go unnoticed?

Third party peripheral makers will make a killing on replacement straps.

Why is this such a big deal? Do you think the strap was made to be a vantage point for swinging the thing around blindly? The strap was made so that if you accidentally drop the wiimote, It'll catch it for you. That's all.
