Windows Vista Flip 3D Demonstration

The Flip 3D feature in Vista is a "graphics technology that displays live thumbnail previews of windows when you Alt-Tab or Windows-Tab between open programs." Find out if your PC is capable of running this feature here. Video after the jump.
This quick (and dirty, sorry) screencast above shows Flip 3D in action, with a Google Video playing to display the whole "live thumbnail preview" bit. Notice the video continues playing in the "deck of cards" and Alt-Tab views

Nice upgrade from current features. I kept expecting that dingleberry David Pogue to jump in claiming MS stole this from Apple while oblivious to the fact that everything he brings up in his video is an upgrade of current Windows features and the fact that Apple stole basically every idea for every product they've ever made.

this IS stolen from apple....look on the features of Leopard that have been listed for MONTHS

it looks good.... though the hardware requirements to do it are far too high.. ubuntu+beryl can have vista+ eyecandy without the vista system requirements....

So little for so much... this is soooo last year. Linux has had these capabilities and more for over 6 months (all running on a 512Mb P3 machine).

Yeh alright, who stole whatever but in the end we all have to conform to windows, so love it.
