File this under: "Strange Vending Machines" If you love pizza, but hate waiting for the delivery guy to arrive, Wonder Pizza has just the machine for you. It cooks up a single 9-inch pizza in just 90-seconds, priced at $5-$6.
The pizza itself apparently comes from Chicago-based ‘Connie’s Pizza’ so there might be hope that the final product is actually edible. The machine took 5 years and some 6 million dollars of R&D to develop and the final version can hold 102 pizzas. It has both a refrigeration unit to keep the uncooked pie fresh and an electrical oven (no microwaves) that ensures the final product has a crisp crust

I want here at work!!!

The pizzas will be gone by the end of the day. 102 pizzas isn't enough. Nevertheless, great concept. I would love to see it here.

Think about it, $5-$6 per pizza, thats $500+ worth of inventory. In a coke vending machine, at (say) $1 a coke, you won't be able to fill it with 600 cokes. The profit margin per pizza is going to be far higher than cokes.. So what if they have to refill it every day?

Actually, they had one of these on a ferry near Jockey's Ridge at the Outer Banks in North Carolina. The pizza wasn't bad either, not to mention that this was probably almost six or seven years ago.

wow... they should put one of these in the local food court
