What sets Signal Snowboards apart from other companies is that they make one-off models on occasion, and this all-glass creations was their latest project. To do so, they traveled all the way to Italy and worked with glass factory Vetreria Aurora. Continue reading for a video and more information.

It’s basically made from two glass sheets that are baked in an oven for 24 hours to create the tips and tails found on a typical snowboard. Once pulled out of the oven, it’s sent off to Viraver for the tempering process to ensure structural integrity. Lastly, the two sheets of now-tempered glass are then bonded together in an autoclave and cooked overnight before it’s reading for riding.
