Yes, there's a real driving school for dogs in New Zealand, and according to TV station Cambell Live: "The lessons are part of a campaign by the New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), meant to clear up 'common misconceptions' about rescue dogs." On a serious note, every one of these canine drivers are shelter dogs: 18-month-old Monty is a Giant Schnauzer who donated to the SPCA when he became too much for his owner to handle, 1-year-old Ginny, a whippets cross that was rescued from an abusive home, and lastly 10-month-old Porter, a Beardie cross who was abandoned on the streets.
