Longest Bicycle in the World

Gas & oil company Santos teamed up with the University of South Australia to build a 41.42 m (135 ft 10.7 in) long bicycle, or approximately twice the length of a bowling lane, over a period of 9-months. The design includes a metal frame, two wheels and handlebars. Guinness World Records required the constructors to prove that the bike can travel a minimum of 100 meters, without riders touching the ground. Spanning 95.52 m (1,625.72 ft), "The Beast" is now officially the world's longest inflatable obstacle course, complete with 60 challenge sections and five wipe-out obstacles at the end. It typically takes around 10-minutes for people to run, climb and crawl their way to the finish. The course was created by Hold My Shoes and V-Formation, and made its debut in Wachtebeke, Belgium last year.

Fidget spinners may not be as popular as they once were, but that didn't stop one company in Japan, MinebeaMitsumi Inc. from Minato, Tokyo, from creating the world's smallest, and it measures in at just 5.09 mm (0.20 in) long. "From the viewpoint of a professional, toy finger spinners are not yet perfect. We can feel the quality when we touch them. We wanted to make a super high-quality one which has 'the smallest, the longest rotation and the smoothest' features, we wanted to prove the precision of our bearing by creating a fidget spinner which spins the longest," said project leader, Shigeru None.

Artist Ara Ghazaryan has completed the world's smallest handmade chess set. The entire board with accompanied pieces measures a total of 15.3 x 15.3 mm (0.6 in x 0.6 in), or smaller than a US quarter coin. The Kings stand the tallest at 4.8 mm, while the smallest pieces are the pawns, which measure in at 2.3 mm in height. Designed to be fully playable, the board tiles are made from a luxurious Brazilian cherry wood and 18 Kt. yellow / white gold, while the bottom has small bezel set diamonds located in each corner.

A team of LEGO masters spent 600-hours building the world's largest LEGO brick wind turbine and then assembled it outside the Liverpool ONE shopping center in Liverpool, UK. To be more specific, it took a staggering 146,251 plastic bricks to complete. "We see children as our role models and as we take action in reducing our environmental impact as a company, we will also continue to work to inspire children around the world by engaging them in environmental and social issues," said Bali Padda, CEO of the LEGO Group.
