The Wartsila-Sulzer RTA96-C is claimed to be the world's most powerful diesel engine. Available in 6 cylinder or 14 cylinder versions, it produces an incredible 108,920hp @ 102rpm and 5,608,312 lb-ft torque @ 102rpm. These were designed for use in large container ships.
