World's Thinnest 2 Color E-Paper Display

Bridgestone has just unveiled the world's thinnest 2 color e-paper display. The display is fully bendable and text/images will not distort due to its special ribbed structure. Practical applications include billboards, electronic books, and name tags. No word yet on availability. [via BridgeStone]

The Paper looks ok to me... The problem is: Do we have to walk around with that big base and wear blue gloves?

my concern is...what happens if it breaks? does 2 color e-paper liquid spill onto us and eat out our brain?

is it clear or is it on a blue bg? does it emit light like a plasma or does it only reflect color. i want a HUD is my car in 5 years damnit.

Are you all idiots? The gloves are these since this isn't a finished product and they don't want to risk damaging it in any way. Yes, the base will be there, the display can't pull signals and power out of nowhere.
