The beautiful Western Screech Owl that you see above was discovered one morning by a Southern California resident. It turned out to be blind, but with cloudy eyes that resembled a real starry night. The owl found a new permanent home at the Wildlife Learning Center in Sylmar, California after a trip to the vet to make sure he was healthy. He was then named “Zeus”, the Greek god of sky and thunder,” due to his unique eyes. Continue reading for more images.
