They utilize a patent-pending design that essentially form-fits and locks in your ear for an extremely secure, comfortable fit. More information. Continue reading for our full review.

Review

The first thing we noticed about the ZTONE was its snazzy packaging that just gave off a cool vibe. Inside, you get the earphones themselves, a 1/4" (6.3mm) stereo adapter, a 2-prong Airplane audio adapter, 4-pairs of custom-molded ear gels, 3-pairs of additional silicone fittings, and a durable metal carrying case to boot.

Even before testing them with music, its beautiful silver braided cables already wowed us, used to keep things tangle free and carry audio to the studio-tuned monitors. Once you find the right combination of ear gel and silicone fittings, you'll notice that the sound isolation is superb as well as it being a very comfortable fit.

We tried these earphones with an iPhone, MacBook, and a Nintendo 3DS. No matter what we threw at it, the sound was most certainly above average, thanks in part to the 20 - 20,000Hz frequency response. What really stood out was music, as we heard details in classical music like never before - they performed brilliantly with all genres of music actually. Stuck on a long plane trip? You won't be disappointed when using the ZTONE for movies either aboard the flight (with the adapter), since the bass really does stand out.

Bottom Line

If you're looking for comfortable, high-quality earphones that deliver studio-tuned sound in a package priced under $100, the I-MEGO ZTONE should do the trick. We highly recommend these to anyone looking for quality earphones on a budget.
