The current Land Rover Defender (L663) shares no components or technology with its predecessor and features permanent all-wheel drive, locking differentials, as well as a two-speed transfer case. Unlike previous models, this one boasts an aluminum unibody instead of a body-on-frame construction, while all Defender 110 variants come with air suspension as standard. It can be powered by 3.0-litre 6-cylinder turbo petrol mild hybrid generating 395 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission coupled with a 2-speed transfer case, enabling the vehicle to traverse just about any terrain with ease. Van Defender keeps the 90 model’s three-door entry, while offering a longer 110-inspired wheelbase. Other features include lightbars, a roof rack, and protective brush guards.
