  @X400: Do yourself a favor by googling up the subject before shooting yourself in the foot. Let's test the myth that says "Sony comes up with the coolest gadgets in the world". So your homework in this case would be to google up "backlit keyboard" + Sony. Note the year from your results. Then google up "backlit keyboard" + Apple. Apple came up with the backlit keyboard for their high end PowerBook series, which dates back to 2004, way before they switched to Intel and became bed buddies so to speak. They still rock a solid handheld console that owns the iPhone and PS3 that some people claim owns the Xbox360. And the Vaio FW with ATI 3650 is by far a better buy for gaming than even the new MacBook Pros that cost a lot more.
