World's fastest? I once hit the roof button driving my '73 Ventura on I-95. It was open in less than 3 seconds.

Can't beat that Japanese engineering. Who else can take a stingy little four-banger and stroke it until you get 17mpg in the city? But I hear they're having trouble getting the 1.7L to drop below 22mpg on the highway. Keep working on it boys!

I'd be pretty passionate about clean water too if I could sell some sucker $1.83 worth of plastic for 30 bucks.

These have been "years away" since 1957.

This is a person who doesn't own a watch. Or no longer owns one. Right handers wear their watch on the left, and would wear this on the left. Nifty magnetic bracelet + nice Citizen = $200 for a spare alligator strap. 3 bucks will get you 5 Zip-loc 20 oz (liquid) containers. And you can seal all 15 screws, 6 clips, 4 nuts, and 2 washers with the leakproof cover. That'll keep them from flying into oblivion when you (inevitably) kick them across the room.

I hope they have bathrooms. It's gonna take a full day to get around that thing.

Well, at least they keep it locked.

Isn't there some sort of law about making toy/faux guns in day-glo colors? Or did the Republicans make that disappear along with the assault weapons ban?

Gumpert? Is that Dilbert's geen clay friend? Dogbert's going to have a field day with Pokey. For $400K I don't think I should be embarrassed by the name.

The camera's got a special filter that makes nerds look cool.

To quote the philosopher-king Bluto Blutarsky: "Holy Shit!" If you can actually get messes like these to work, you should be smart enough to buy a few velcro ties and a P-touch label machine. And order the $5 cable management options when you buy a rack. And if you don't have the time to fix it, either get a new job (before this melts down), or find an intern to abuse.

Boy, I'm sure glad we don't have any way to fake a PHOTO and SHOP it around as authentic.

Damn, that's scary. While a 1999 PC may not have done all of this, 4 or 5 separate ones probably could. This is impressive, down to the worldwide communication (Internet), the online banking including a neo-Quicken, the multiple flat screens, and the online shopping. These guys even nailed the form factor! Simply spectacular.

Oh! Shigeru Uehara is the name of the designer? I thought it was japanese for "Fugly."

Why is it that, on a regular basis, some pinhead thinks they can improve a paradigm that has lasted for thousands (yes, THOUSANDS) of years? Even the digital clock has failed to beat the analog radial hands design. In fact, this takes the worst of digital clocks and applies them to traditional analog Tell me at a glance what time that clock reads. Is it 12? 3? Quarter of three? This is worse than those guys who thought it was a good idea to remake "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" with Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher. And not very original.

I REALLY want that virtual dial. The really cool people will go back to saying their number is KLondike 5-2707! Retro chic. I expect you'll see somebody create it for the iPhone in the next month or two. Not that I have an iPhone...

Actually, the lifeguard's job is very easy. Just walk across the people to reach the person in distress. If you can actually find them. It's a real bitch if you arrive late. You end up right under the diving board.

So I'm guessing you don't know any engineers? (think about it)
