Styropyro 20,000W Microwave Oven Experiment
Drake Anthony, better known online as Styropyro, unveils his latest project…a 20,000W microwave oven that doesn’t just look cool, but can still cook food. To achieve this, he needed to first acquire a Hitatch H0915 magnetron, which wasn’t the easiest of tasks.

Despite how insane this project sounds, Anthony shows us how useful the microwave can still be by boiling water in five seconds and creating the familiar grape-induced plasma-in-a-jar. The biggest issue was just containing the plasma, as if it was permitted to leak out for only a few seconds, it would risk coupling into the magnetron and frying it.

I’m actually shocked how well it worked for…cooking actual food. That popcorn looked perfectly edible and a 10 second baked potato sounds incredible,” said one commenter.
