Apple’s highly anticipated WWDC ’19 event is just weeks away, where many expect a bevy of iOS as well as macOS reveals. One product long overdue for a refresh is the Mac Pro, and a Bloomberg report suggests that we could see new hardware, including the rumored modular Mac Pro. There is not much information on what it could look like, but some speculate that the hardware components are contained within stackable modules. “The only required module would be a ‘brain module,’ letting users pick and choose the exact components they need — from additional RAM to GPU options. Apple is also said to be preparing a standalone, first-party computer monitor (internally codenamed J290). Bloomberg said that the monitor could feature support for high-dynamic range, or HDR, which will make colors look a lot better. TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo forecasted that the monitor would sport a 31.6-inch display and would feature mini LED backlighting, high-contrast and some type of wide-color gamut,” reports iDropNews.
