The ATI Radeon HD 5970 is now officially the world’s fastest graphics card, with DirectX 11 support, Eyefinity multi-display technology, and “a pair of Cypress GPUs linked on a single board by a PCI Express bridge for nearly 5 TeraFLOPS of computer power.” Expect to shell out $599 for the card, when it’s released. It even manages to keep power consumption in check until you start rolling on the voltage to ramp those clock speeds.
