Bentley has just unveiled a Continental GT that elevates its model lineup to new heights. The Supersports brand has returned for the first time in seven years, and this small number has not only lost a lot of weight, but it has also dropped hybrid technology and all-wheel drive. The end result is the sharpest, most engaging Continental in decades, and just 500 lucky customers will have the opportunity to own one, with the first keys changing hands as early as 2027.
Under the hood, a massive 4.0-liter V8, without any assistance from electric motors or battery packs, is free to produce 657 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. That’s due in major part to some significant changes, including larger turbos, a strengthened crankcase, and reworked cylinder heads. That eight-speed dual-clutch transmission’s shifts have been refined for a faster rip to top gear, and all of that torque is directed solely to the rear wheels. Bentley claims that this is the first rear-drive Continental GT to leave the factory this century, with a 0-62 time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 192 mph. Don’t get too hung up on those straight-line statistics, because when it comes to cornering feel this Continental really starts to come alive.

The brakes have been beefed up, with 17.3-inch carbon-ceramic fronts and ten-piston calipers, while the 16.1-inch rears handle the job. Air springs, dynamic anti-roll bars, and rear-wheel steering are all still in the mix. What’s most intriguing is that each suspension, steering, and traction control setting has been carefully calibrated for optimal performance. There are three drive modes to choose from: Touring for strolling around, Bentley for a little more aggression, and Sport for when you truly want to get the most out of this Continental. And if you want to explore the limits of its rear-wheel drive, just switch the ESC completely off and it’ll let you have your way – all in a very controllable and safety-conscious way.
Weighing in at about 2200kg (approximately 4,400 pounds), this vehicle is 500 pounds less than a standard Continental GT. Crewe removed the back seats, replaced the aluminum top with carbon fiber, removed the sound insulation, and rewired the audio system to increase road noise while reducing needless weight. The titanium Akrapovič exhaust lowers weight and allows the V8 to perform naturally. The optional Pirelli Trofeo RS rubber helps the Continental pull 1.3 g in the bends, which is 30% better than the GT Speed with the same tires.

And it’s not only the grip; the Continental GT Supersports generates 660 pounds more downforce than the GT Speed. That’s thanks to a slew of aero improvements, including a larger front splitter, dive planes, side sills, fender vents, a taller rear diffuser, and a fixed ducktail spoiler. All of these components are composed of carbon fibre for added structural rigidity. The brakes get their own airflow from the cooling ducts. The exterior features a laser-cut mesh grille and some very gorgeous 22-inch forged wheels, compliments of the Manthey Racing crew.

Inside, you’ll find two well bolstered seats, though the new ones are a bit lower down than before. The leather and Dinamica suede mix is still high-quality material. You can still warm up and adjust your seat to your satisfaction, but the eleven-way power adjustment is now an option. A carbon fibre tub wrapped in leather replaces the back bench, giving it an exotic flair. Carbon veneer is utilized on the dash and doors, and there are other finishes to pick from, including aluminum and piano black.

The Crewe factory will begin production later in 2026, with orders accepted beginning in March of that year. The initial price in the United States is expected to be roughly $486,000, though the exact amount you pay will be determined by a variety of other circumstances once the item goes on sale. And with 24 distinct basic colors, five different graphic themes, and unlimited Mulliner customization, there will be plenty of alternatives to choose from. Markets resemble the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and a few Middle Eastern nations.
