What happens when billionaire Sir Richard Branson makes a bet with AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes, and loses? As you can see above, it resulted in Branson having to dress up as an air stewardess on a charity flight from Perth to Kuala Lumpur. The bet involved seeing which one of their Formula 1 racing teams (then Lotus Racing and Virgin Racing) would finish ahead of each other in their debut season. In all, the charity event raised an estimated $200,000 AUD for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Here’s what AirAsia CEO Fernandes has to say about Branson as an attendant: “Out of 10, maybe one, for a bit of humor. He looked at me, I said, ‘don’t you dare,’ and the next thing I know, he tipped the whole tray on me. He and the girls mopped it up, but I was walking around the flight in my underwear for a while because I didn’t bring another pair of trousers.”
