Toyota’s CUE 3 may be a record-setting basketball shooting robot, but Bollywood star Akshay Kumar went for a Guinness World Record that doesn’t require as much athletic ability. The actor managed to take 184 selfies in 3-minutes at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai, where a couple of hundred fans gathered for the chance to see the record breaking attempt.
Akshay came ready to set a new world record in a bright orange jumpsuit before standing between the two lines his fans had formed, ready to snap away. Many lucky fans who approached from alternating sides were able to sneak into frame before backing out. He managed to take 209 photos during the time, but some were disqualified due to blurred faces. GWR states that selfies must be in focus and sufficiently bright enough so that the person appearing in the picture can be recognized and identified as a unique participant.
