New York resident Joshua Stagnitto recently put up a real Craigslist ad with the following information: “Selling my kids on the Craigslist black market. I have two kids, two and one year old.” He insists that it was a joke, but that posting has lead to either 1-year in prison or a $1,000 fine, as it was reported to a child abuse hotline.

In the ad, Stagnitto wrote that his children could be used as slaves or foot stools, but insists that he was joking. “I thought it would be it would be funny if I put my kids on there because how more ridiculous can you possibly get,” he told CNN.
