The all-new Ford SuperVan 4.2 is not your standard minivan, as it’s headed to the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb competition that features 156 turns up 4,725 feet to a finish line sitting at 14,115 feet above sea level. Power comes from three STARD UHP 6-phase motors (one in front and two at the rear) connected to STARD’s Ultra High Performance Li-Polymer NMC pouch cells that generate a combined 1400hp.
To handle all of those turns at maximum efficiency, STARD equipped the SuperVan 4.2 with a revised regenerative braking system, carbon ceramic brake discs, magnesium forged wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero race tires, upgraded driveshafts, a perspex windscreen, and a minimalist race interior. For those interested in watching the race, it takes place on Sunday, June 25th and will be livestreamed on YouTube as well here.
