Google Maps Immersive View for routes has launched for Amsterdam, Barcelona, Dublin, Florence, Las Vegas, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Paris, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, Tokyo and Venice on Android as well as iOS. After requesting directions for certain landmarks like the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, simply tap Immersive View to get a more detailed look.
What happens after tapping Immersive View? You’ll get a turn-by-turn view as if you were actually on the ground, complete with detailed, visual directions. Simply use the time slider to plan when to begin your journey based on simulated traffic and weather conditions. Immersive View for Routes should be rolling out to more cities in the coming months.
