Looks like the Amazon Kindle might have some competition this holiday shopping season. Barnes & Noble announces the availability of the $259 Nook E-Reader. At 0.5-inches thick and 11.2-ounces, the Nook offers “a top e-ink display from Vizplex and a color touchscreen (3.5-inches) below, which supports one-touch control and swipe-to-browse books with full-color covers.” Video after the break.
