Another day, another Boston Dynamics’ robot video, and this time, it’s of the SpotMini. Before the test, the dog robot was manually driven through the space so it could build a map of the space using visual data from cameras mounted on its front, back and sides. During the autonomous run, SpotMini uses data from the cameras to localize itself in the map and to detect and avoid obstacles.
