Completed in just 4-years, the Dubai Metro officially opened on 09.09.09 at 9:09:09 PM and was used by “more than 110,000 people, which is nearly 10% of Dubai’s population,” in its first two days. Video after the break.
Once the 20 km Green line opens, the Dubai Metro will overtake the title of longest automated metro network from the Vancouver Skytrain, surpassing it by 3 km.
