Auto enthusiasts Wang Yu and Li Lintao from Beijing, China, have adored supercars since childhood, but as some already know, imported vehicles are heavily taxed in the country. So, they decided to build their own Lamborghini Diablo SV from scratch. It all started when the two friends returned home from studying mechanical engineering abroad in the UK and Germany. They began sourcing parts from China’s version of eBay, Taobao Marketplace. One year and $227,000 USD later, the replica finally became a reality.
