Unlike most billboards, this one in Lima, Peru turns the humidity in the air directly into drinkable water. You read that right, it basically captures the humid air and then runs it through an air filter into the condenser to create water. All residents have to do is simply turn on the faucet at the base of the billboard, and they’ll be treated to some clean and refreshing water. According to its creators, “this ingenious device is capable of producing up to 100 liters of potable water a day, and in the three months since it was installed, it has already supplied Lima’s inhabitants with 9,450 liters.
