
We have seen the future of iPhone 3G S gaming, and it’s powered by the PowerVR SGX GPU along with a 600-MHz Cortex A8 CPU. This tech demo shows what the GPU is capable of, “running on a pre-production Pandora dev board.” Video after the break.
Toon shading and spherical harmonic lighting are shader effects only possible on the 3GS. The 3G only seems to support one user clip plane (from my experiments) so there’s another one.
