Believe it or not, this iPhone 4 survived a 1,000-foot drop when U.S. Air Force Combat Controller Ron Walker accidentally left the pocket carrying the device slightly open during a parachute drop mission. The plane was “flying about 1,000 feet above the ground, and at a speed of about 150mph.” Continue reading for one more picture.

That all said, the phone was wrapped in a Griffin Motif case at the time of the fall, not just an iPhone. Still, it’s impressive that it could survive a 1,000 foot fall and live to make another call.
