First shown at “CEATEC JAPAN 2004”, the “J4” robot was being demonstrated this past weekend (Jan. 14) at “robot kingdom” in Akihabara. This two foot tall tobot can receive commands via Bluetooth, record videos in MotionJPG (M-JPEG) format, and has two CMOS cameras located on the head for speech recognition. Its powered by a single lithium ion electric battery good for up to 90 minutes of use. The legs are constructed from aluminum while the rest of the body is resin for its mechanical and adhesive properites. Currently, Nippon Victor (JVC) is not planning on releasing the “J4” robot commercially. More pictures after the jump… Victor
