NEC has announced two new MULTEOS LCD HDTVs, the 40-inch M40 ($5820) and 46-inch M46 ($8002). They offer 1920 x 1080 full-HD native resolution, 1000:1 (M40) / 1200:1 (M46) contrast ratio, 450cd/m2 brightness, HDMI port, and a 178-degree viewing angle. Both models will be released in Japan on Jan. 31, 2007.

Although NEC would rather your CEO order a few of its new MULTEOS LCDs to impress those big shots coming in to seal the deal(s), these “business” displays wouldn’t look half bad in any living room / home theater
