Nintendo’s long-awaited Mario Kart Tourarrives on iOS and Android devices tomorrow, September 25, and to kick things off, players will also be able to experience the game’s first “Tour,” a biweekly event that takes place in different locations and give players a chance to unlock special characters. Unlike previous games in the series, this one features courses inspired by real-world locations, with the first based on New York City. Read more for a video and additional information.
The first event runs from September 25 to October 9, and during each Tour, players will be able to earn Grand Stars based on how many points they earn in a race. These points can be used to unlock new cups and Tour gifts, like drivers, karts, gliders, as well as other special items. In the New York Tour, you have the opportunity to unlock Musician Mario and Pauline from Super Mario Odyssey.
