Set for release on April 7th, The House of the Dead: Remake modernizes the 1996 rail shooter The House of the Dead by Sega’s AM1 arcade division. It was developed by MegaPixel Studio, and published by Forever Entertainment. However, MegaPixel Studio was unable to use the game’s original assets due to missing source code and legal issues, so they had to develop everything from scratch. A limited edition physical release is planned and will include an exclusive box, character stands and stickers. Read more for the new trailer and additional information.
Fans of the original game will be happy to know that The House of the Dead: Remake’s storyline remains the same for the most part, as early screenshots show Dr. Curien, familiar creatures, and Hermit, the third boss. As you can see in the first trailer, Curien confronts Thomas Rogan and G at the end of the third level, while Rogan makes a brief appearance. Similar to the original game, the remake will have multiple endings
