Saleen has just unveiled the S5S Raptor, which is a “sports car designed primarily for the street instead of the track — powered by a “supercharged 5.0-liter engine that runs on E85 ethanol.” Video after the break.

We expect that the Raptor’s motor will be based on the supercharged 5.0-liter Ford-based V8 that already powers the company’s S302E Mustang-based car. In the S302E, the engine is rated at 620 horsepower. That should give it the necessary oomph to make it to the 200 mph top speed Saleen is estimating

They certainly look like the genuine article, giving the impression that Sonic Unleashed will be coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, hopefully with gameplay that’s more Sonic and the Secret Rings than it is Sonic the Hedgehog “Next-Gen.”

Northrop Grumman’s unmanned X-47B is a radio-controlled “19-foot craft that can carry a 4500-lb. payload.” This craft may fly as early as next year. Click here first picture in gallery.
