Pilot Nick Underwood flew directly into Hurricane Irma – a category five hurricane with winds that have been recorded to hit 224mph. Despite how crazy that might sound, actually flying into the eye is a lot calmer of an experience than you think.
This category five hurricane is expected hit the Leeward Islands of Antigua and Barbuda on Wednesday, before following a path along the Greater Antilles toward the US. A total of six islands in the Bahamas are being evacuated on Wednesday, while officials in the Leeward Islands have reportedly cut power and urged residents to seek shelter.
