PodRide, created by Swedish design engineer Mikael Kjellman, may look like a Smart Car from afar, but it’s actually an electric bicycle of sorts. That’s right, this 4-wheeled vehicle is powered by a 250W crank shaft engine, gear suspension, and can hit a top speed of 15 miles per hour. Mikael has been working on prototypes for over a year now, one of which he uses daily, since there’s plenty of room for baggage, as well as side windows that open up. “It has a full waterproof body to keep you warm and dry in any weather, heated windshield, soft seat with back support, air suspension and studded tires in winter. A small trunk for your shopping bags and a tow bar for a bike trailer when youwant tobring your kids. The motor and control system are from a standard e-bike system and should make it a street legal bike in most countries.
