We know that LG is working on a z-fold smartphone, but Samsung may not be far behind, according to a design patent with the KIPO (Korean Intellectual Property Office) that was published on August 7, 2019 that covers a total of 23 sketches. Just like its competitor, this model comes equipped with a large flexible display with no bezels. Once fully opened, it becomes a tablet of sorts. Read more for additional pictures and information.
Since the device features a single large flexible screen, the display on the far left continues to function as a display even when the device is folded. However, you can also fold it so the middle screen becomes the main display used, with the other two folded backwards. If the latter configuration is chosen, you’ll have rounded display edges on both sides. Will this concept ever become a reality? Perhaps if the Galaxy Fold becomes a runaway hit once the revised version is released.
