Sonic Superstars was announced last week during Summer Game Fest 2023 and it brings the 2D platforming action back, but with a new Chaos Emerald twist. You’ll be able to play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, or Amy Rose, who are all able to harness the power of Chaos Emeralds to multiply, swim up waterfalls, change form, and more.
The high-speed sidescrolling action is complemented by stunning 3D graphics, new powers / abilities, a fresh setting, and new ways to play. Plus, for the first time ever in a Sonic the Hedgehog game, you can play through the entire campaign with up to 3 other players with drop-in and drop-out four-player local cooperative play. Available this fall on the PlayStation 5 | 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms, priced at $59.99 USD.
