Steve Jobs recently announced why the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad do not yet support Flash, despite several Android-powered HTC phones showing that portable devices can run the platform without draining too much battery. One caveat: it’s closed source. He says “that all standards pertaining to the web should be open; rather than use Flash, Apple has adopted HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.” Video after the break.
