So you’ve seen the original iPhone Pro concept, now check out the clamshell version. Though it’s a bit thicker, the phone would definitely give the Sprint Instinct some competition. Click here for one more picture.

It would be even cooler if, instead of being a third-party accessory, Apple actually released a modular iPhone, one that could admit different accessories like these but without the added bulk of building them around the original design.

With a slide out QWERTY keypad, the iPhone Pro is a big step forward in keeping Apple’s handset up to date with its competition. Plus, there’s also an integrated D-pad for gaming action.

Mat made his concept and called it iPhone Elite: an iPhone with 60GB of storage, true 16:9 aspect ratio, slide-out keyboard, one megapixel front camera for iChat, and a high quality camera, with good lenses, optical zoom, and video capability.

Wal-Mart announces the availability of the iPhone 3G. Starting today, stores “will sell the iPhone for only $2 less than the regular price with a two-year contract: $197 for the 8 GB model, or $297 for the 16GB model.”

The news confirms multiple reports about the impending sale. The report also confirms that rumors of a $99 Wal-Mart iPhone were incorrect.

Overall, the Apple In-Ear Headphones are a quality product at a fairly reasonable price. They sound great, and work as expected. On the iPhone 3G, you can’t use the volume, or track changing controls.
