Charlie Solar Floating Home 25-Years
Charlie built an off-the-grid floating home 25-years-ago after retiring from his foresting job and has been living there ever since. His wife Ellen joined him in 2016 on this solar-powered living space that spans 900-square-feet over 2-levels. Most of the wood used in the build was milled by Charlie himself, while a hydraulic splitter can be found in the workstation to make splitting the pieces easier for additions.

Floating Seahorse Villa House
Dubai’s Floating Seahorse Villa project by the Kleindienst Group was first unveiled back in 2015, and since then, not much has been seen or heard about them. Recently, a few in-depth tours have surfaced, with one by real estate expert Enes Yilmazer taking you through a $4.7-million USD house. There are a total of 131 units available, with a handful of them being Signature Editions that can cost upwards of $20-million.

3D Printing Drone Swarms Construction Building
We have seen the future of construction, and there’s plenty of 3d-printing drone swarms. It starts with a single drone depositing a layer of building material, with another one verifying the accuracy of what has been printed thus far.

Aside from creating modern hospitality suites and sleeping arrangements, Hilton is set to also collaborate with Voyager to examine opportunities for marketing of the space station and astronaut experiences onboard.

Holly Grounds, a product design student at London’s Ravensbourne University, was concerned about the amount of plastic waste that companies used to package instant noodles. So, she came up with edible instant ramen packaging that dissolves in hot water, complete with spices. It’s made from potato starch, glycerin and water, all of which can be safely consumed.

Znera Space Downtown Circle Ring Burj Khalifa Dubai
Just when you thought the Burj Khalifa couldn’t take him anymore records, Znera Space proposes building a massive Downtown Circle ring around it that sits 1,800-feet off the ground. The goal was to build densely while retaining liveability, and as a singular 5-story mega building complex, Downtown Circle aims to create a hyper efficient urban center that gives back to the environment.
