Designed by Luc Schouten, these floating lamps consist of “helium filled latex balloons anchored by a small LED base.” No word yet on if this concept will go into production. Click here for first picture in gallery.

With multiple light effect settings like strobe, flash and glow, these Floating Light balloons are great for temporary (10 hour lifespan) use at special events, clubs, discos or even lavish house parties

Alter-G puts all the extras into this futuristic “anti-gravity” treadmill — FDA approved for rehabilitation purposes. Video after the break. Click here for one more picture. Here’s how it works:

The physical lifting force generated by the G-Trainer comes from a difference in air pressure around the user’s body. Normal environmental air pressure is approximately 15psi. The maximum amount of air pressure used in the G-Trainer, if the user chooses to reduce effective body weight at the maximum 80%, is 16.5psi, so the difference is very slight. At the maximum air pressure, the user experience feels similar to the pressure against your feet if you were standing in waist-high water, but without the resistance or movement of water

To make your own nifty water gun alarm clock you’ll need: “some soldering skills, a motorized water gun, a voltage relay switch, a bread board circuit and some basic tools.” Video after the break.

If this doesn’t wake you up, you are going to be condemmed to a lifetime of lateness my friend. That is until someone develops an alarm clock that slaps you in the face and/or groin each day promptly at 6:30am

Unlike its predecessors, Fisher Price’s Elmo live “can mouth his words like a real-live Muppet, and can sit, stand and gesture as he tells stories, jokes, sings and play games.” Video after the break.

If you hadn’t noticed by now, Elmo is rapidly on his way from being a creepy laughing toy — and annoyingly difficult to find during the holidays — to being a full-fledged creepy robot… and even more difficult to find during the holidays

The MagnoGrip from ThinkGeek is basically a “magnetic wristband guaranteed to securely hold nails, screws, drill bits, fasteners and tools.” Video after the break. Click here for one more picture.

It allows professionals and do-it yourselfers to finish jobs in less time and with less frustration. The magnogrip is built to handle the most rugged of jobs. Its fabric construct consists of durable heavy duty canvas, industrial grade velcro and high-powered magnets that are strong enough to hold a hammer

On most people’s desks these days, you’ll find a computer/laptop, MP3 player, but rarely ever a CD player. This concept, by Antoine Lebrun and Volkan Akbiyik, combines technology with a futuristic design. No word yet on if this concept will go into production. Click here for first picture in gallery.

The Pandora Alcantara is a wall mounted CD player that borrows a little of today’s tilt sensing technologies to make the disc player more relevant. The remote control comes in the form of a tilt sensing bar fitted with a touchscreen. Leaving the bar vertical lets you control volume while the horizontal position lets you scrub thru tracks

The SkidScooter functions on both land and water. It was basically “designed to maximize user experiences through a few design approaches.” Click here for one more picture.

On land it functions as a normal electric kick scooter with 2 hub motors housed within the wheels itself. In water it acts as a propulsion aid as the propellers attached wheels pushes water out in one singular direction and thus propelling the product across water
