According to Bloomberg, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is building “$1 billion palace in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, paid for with money donated by Russian businessmen, Vedomosti said, citing Sergey Kolesnikov, a St. Petersburg entrepreneur.” Click here for more pictures.

At first glance, this stunning custom home in Bainbridge Island, Washington may look like a fortress from some angles, but on the inside, you’ll find a modern interior. Concocted by Coates Design, “each room within the home was carefully designed to take advantage of views, provide comfort to the occupants, and an appealing style.” Click here for more pictures.
With only a small buildable area available on the site, the home was designed to maximize the footprint through the use of vertical space which also takes advantage of the spectacular views of Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains to the West.
