Sure, it may look like a normal keyboard, but this Microsoft prototype has keys that “can register up to eight levels of pressure, opening up all kinds of interesting possibilities.” Video after the break.

Definitely interesting stuff, and we’re sure to see more novel uses in October when Microsoft opens its first Student Innovation Contest by showcasing student projects made using keyboard prototypes.

That’s right, a modder managed to hack a MyVu Crystal eyepiece into a makeshift heads-up display that’s capable of running Windows XP. Other components include: a Sony UX380, VGA/TV/LAN Dongle, Motorola iDen i425, “Bluetooth enabled cellphone (text and mouse input), Bluetooth stereo headset (voice input and stereo output), ThinkOutside Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard, Logitech Bluetooth Mouse, and a Bluetooth Frogpad (text input).” Click here for first picture in gallery.

If Microsoft built a toaster, this is what the toast would look like. Basically, it “etches little Redmond flags into delicately baked slices of Wonder.” No word yet on pricing or availability.

..if Microsoft really did make a toaster it would likely require an upgrade to your bread…if Apple made a toaster, the bread would be non-removable.

Microsoft corporate VP Shane Kim confirmed that a portable Xbox 360 could very well be in the works, and released sooner than later. He stated: “We’re building a service in Live that will…will extend to other platforms…no question about it.”

Surprisingly, Kim even touches on the always touchy (and often not even mentioned) Live Anywhere initiative, saying, “We talked about Live Anywhere a few years ago … Live is the connective tissue.”

Though Microsoft hasn’t officially announced the Zune HD‘s release date, several reviewers have already received pre-production units.
