GM Defense revealed their Next Gen tactical vehicle prototype at the Association of the U.S. Army 2024 conference at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. It’s based on the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD ZR2 truck, and combines GM’s 2.8L Duramax turbo-diesel engine with a 12-module battery pack.

Archer Aviation delivered the first Archer Midnight eVTOL aircraft to the US Air Force as part of its AFWERX Agility Prime contract valued at up to $142 million. Power comes from 12 electric motors connected to six independent battery packs that enable Midnight to achieve a top speed of 150 mph.
